Congratulations to Maria & Boris
Two Nanomaterials Group alumni have been recognized with graduate awards by Drexel Univeristy.
Dr. Maria Lukatskaya, has been selected for an Outstanding Dissertation Award in recognition of the originality and innovativeness of her dissertation and the great research that she have produced as a result. Also, Dr. Boris Dyatkin has been selected for a Graduate College’s Outstanding Promise Award, presented in recognition of the great potential he has shown for regional, national and/or societal impact as well as for enhancing Drexel’s reputation, now and in the future.
The Graduate College will present both Boris and Maria with award on Graduate Student Day, Monday, May 16th

This award recognizes an outstanding researcher in the field of nano energy whose work
- reflects the interdisciplinarity of this field
- has contributed in an innovative and/or impactful way to solving the major energy problems facing society
The Awards Committee received a number of high caliber nominations this year, but Professor Gogotsi’s nomination was ranked highest in terms of meeting the criteria for the award.
