Our paper titled, “Kinetics of aluminum extraction from Ti3AlC2 in hydrofluoric acid” published in 2013 in Materials Chemistry and Physics has once again been listed as one of the five most cited articles in this journal. Congratulations to all of our authors!

Two professors, Yury Gogotsi, Ph.D., Distinguished University and Trustee Chair Professor of the Materials Science and Engineering department, and Peter DeCarlo, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Graduate Studies Advisor of the Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering department, were selected as “Highly Cited Researchers 2016” by Clarivate Analytics.

Nanomaterials Group at MRS
Several current members, alumni, and collaborators from the Nanomaterials group attended the Fall MRS meeting in Boston, MA this week. There were many highlights at this year’s meeting, including Ph.D. Candidate, Katie Van Aken, being awarded the MRS Best Poster Award.
