JEOL 2010F TEM/STEM (Facility at University of Pennsylvania)

Raman Spectroscopy

 Important Features

The JEOL 2010F TEM/STEM is a state-of-the-art field emission transmission electron microscope with capabilities ranging from nanobeam and convergent beam diffraction to high resolution phase contrast, analytical and energy filtered imaging. The 2010F has been optimized for analytical microscopy with a large solid angle for high X-ray throughput, scanning, scanning-transmission, and backscattered electron detectors and a Gatan image filter for energy filtered imaging and electron energy loss spectroscopy. This combination of analytical capabilities makes the 2010F an ideal instrument for the characterization of a wide array of samples, yet the 2010F is also a very capable high-resolution instrument with a point-to-point resolution of 0.23 nm.

JEOL 4000EX Transmission Electron Microscope (Facility at University of Pennsylvania)

Raman Spectroscopy

 Important Features

High resolution imaging of atomic structure is performed on a JEOL 4000EX Transmission Electron Microscope. The 4000EX is fully optimized for high resolution phase contrast imaging with a 1.9A point-to-point spatial resolution and an information pass limit of 1.4A. The high resolution capabilities of this microscope are complimented by a high penetrating power due to the 400 kV accelerating voltage. This combination allows for high resolution imaging of specimens that are too thick for transmission microscopy at lower accelerating voltages.

Raman Spectroscopy

 Important Features

  • The Potentiostat is fully isolated (electrically) from the host computer's chassis ground, allowing it to function properly with earth grounded cells.
  • Current Interrupt and Positive Feedback iR Compensation - no need to rig your cells with supporting electrolyte or geometric modifications anymore, Gamry potentiostat and their controlling software use control loop algorithms to accurately measure and correct for uncompensated resistance.
  • Auxiliary I/O - The potentiostat allow you to control additional equipment via additional I/O interfaces.
